Teeny Tutorial: Roller Stamp DIY

I've been looking at roller stamps lately and I decided I wanted to make my own.  I decided to try to use resources I already had but I ended up buying some sticky-backed foam for the stamps.  I'm definitely going to try this again with random stuff to make the designs but I wanted to play it safe for my first attempt.

All you'll need is a couple toilet paper rolls, scissors, tape, a rolling pin and either sticky-back foam or glue to glue your designs on.

I think the pictures are fairly self-explanatory but just in case...

Cut your toilet paper rolls in half and wrap them around your rolling pin.  Cover them in tape (this will prevent the rolls from getting soggy from paint and will help the foam stick).  Cut out your shapes/design and adhere to the roll.  That's it!  Then just roll your stamp in some paint or ink and roll it right on your paper or fabric.  Just be sure to place something under your paper/fabric so it doesn't bleed through.

I chose to print on fabric and ended up making a cute little tee shirt for Margaux.  It's a little big but I think she'll grow into it nicely!
