Review: GlassesUSA.com

If you've been reading Pamplemousse1983 for a while it should be fairly obvious that I wear glasses most of the time. It should also be fairly obvious that I kind of have a thing for glasses seeing as I have 5+ pairs in my arsenal.  As much as I hated wearing eyeglasses as a kid (I've been wearing them since I was 8) I've grown to love them.  Especially since contacts are not the most comfortable thing and I can never see quite as clearly with them.

I was contacted by GlassesUSA.com to see if I'd be interested in doing a review and I was a little skeptical at first but decided to give them a shot.  My prescription is pretty high so I was skeptical that they would be fairly affordable but their prescription glasses are really a great price (even for their super thin lenses which is what I need).  In order to keep my experience fairly genuine they provided me with a gift code to cover most of the cost of the glasses (since I need super thin lenses the total price was a bit over the gift amount so I had to pay the difference).

I browsed their frames and really had a hard time choosing.  I used their virtual mirror feature to "try on" different pairs of glasses which was fun.

I decided to get a more classic style frame that was a little thinner than what I normally pick out.  I put in my prescription info, put in my gift code and easily paid the remaining difference.  It was really painless and not confusing at all!  My best tip to buy glasses online would be to make sure you can read your eye doctor's handwriting.

They always have sales and discounts going on in addition to their low prices so check out their coupon page! You can also use the code BLOG10 for 10% off your order, or "like" their Facebook page to stay up to date on any exclusive discounts.  Buying glasses can be expensive so if you've been putting off getting a pair because of the cost, why not give GlassesUSA.com a try?
